3 months old...

Our little lady turned 3 months old today!  She is doing so awesome...She is SO smiley and happy.  She watches Carter and he usually gets the BIGGEST smiles of any of us!  She "chats" ALL THE TIME - she obviously has lots of stories to tell (see the video below).  Like I said with Carter, I wonder where she gets that urge to talk?!  She obviously still loves her bouncy seat :)  I think her absolute favorite thing to do is go for walks!  I usually take her multiple times a day.  She is still eating like a champ - pretty obvious when you check out her rolls!  She still sleeps really well at night - usually a 6 or 7 hour stretch and only up once.  And she is starting to really love her baths as well!  Such a sweet little lady...

2 months old!

This past Saturday, Emmerson turned 2 months old!  We went for her checkup Friday.  She weighs 13 pounds (95th percentile) and is 23 inches long (75th percentile) - she is growing SO much!  (And is actually only 7 ounces shy of where her chunky monkey brother was at this age!)  She is such a good baby...she is sleeping a 6 to 7 hour stretch at night - hallelujah!  So we are all getting great rest.  She obviously eats like a little piggie during the day (hence the 95th percentile!).  She loves the bouncy seat just like Carter did.  She has watched her very first Baby Mozart video and LOVED it!  It held her attention almost the whole time.  She smiles ALL THE TIME!  And is also "talking" a lot - especially right after she eats when she is a super happy girl :)  See the video below!  She is starting to play in her "gym" more - trying a little bit of tummy time - and sitting in the Bumbo a little as well.  More of all that in the upcoming month I am sure!  All in all a super sweet, super lovable, AWESOME little angel! 







Blastball!

Carter is playing Blastball this Spring through the Plano Baseball Association.  Blastball is similar to t-ball, but geared towards 3 year olds.  They hit off a tee, but the ball is much softer (i.e. no need for helmets) and they only have 1 base.  And it honks when you jump on it - you'll see quite a bit of that in the last video ;)  He had his first game this past Saturday, and let me tell you I have not laughed that hard in a LONG time.  It was hysterical - and so cute.  My words can't even do it justice.  If I could have just video'd the entire hour - maybe it would be better understood...There are 3 videos at the bottom of this post.  1 is of Carter batting, 1 is him doing a great job fielding!  And the last one - the other Team is batting, Carter SHOULD be in the field - and not on the base.  But (because of the honking base) he just can't stay away.  Oh my gosh...priceless!
