Our sweet Emmerson is 5 months old today! This last month has flown by...Summer coming to a close, back to work for Mommy, a trip to Houston, school starting up...Everything is going great! She has continued to grow and change so much. She is super in love with her jumperoo of course - she goes crazy in that thing! We bought a new swing for the backyard and she loves it, just like Carter did! This little one just loves being outside - it seems to be the one thing that can consistently calm her down, no matter the issue. She can sit up now - there are still times where she tips over - but she can rock back and forth while keeping her balance, she's got one strong core! ;) She loves eating her oatmeal. She was a little hesitant with the baby food, so we held off until this last week. Now she's excited about it! She has had and enjoyed squash, sweet potatoes and pears! Yum! Her and Carter started school on the 12th because I had to go back to work. HARD for Mommy to let them go back to school :( There were several breakdowns...The kids did great though - except for Emmerson napping. No surprise there! She is just like her brother. There were a few days where I picked her up and she had taken 1 or 2 15 or 20-minute naps - yikes! She was one tired girl when we got home. But she is sleeping like an angel at night. Maybe due to sheer exhaustion - or maybe she's just old enough to do it! But the last few nights she has slept 12+ hours without waking to eat...crazy! Let's pray it continues...She is overall such a happy, smiley, sweet girl.
