Blastball!

Our little ball player!
Carter is playing Blastball this Spring through the Plano Baseball Association.  Blastball is similar to t-ball, but geared towards 3 year olds.  They hit off a tee, but the ball is much softer (i.e. no need for helmets) and they only have 1 base.  And it honks when you jump on it - you'll see quite a bit of that in the last video ;)  He had his first game this past Saturday, and let me tell you I have not laughed that hard in a LONG time.  It was hysterical - and so cute.  My words can't even do it justice.  If I could have just video'd the entire hour - maybe it would be better understood...There are 3 videos at the bottom of this post.  1 is of Carter batting, 1 is him doing a great job fielding!  And the last one - the other Team is batting, Carter SHOULD be in the field - and not on the base.  But (because of the honking base) he just can't stay away.  Oh my gosh...priceless!
Running around at practice!
He had just gotten his "jersey" and hat - you can see he is taking it VERY serious!

Hitting at practice...
Good swing!
Getting ready to field.

At the game, in the infield.  He looks thrilled ;)
Practice swings at the game...
Priceless picture in the dug out...he is #3!
Yes - you guessed it!  Our little doll is the one with his back turned to home plate, digging in the dirt!  Lol!
Team meeting with Coach Tracy...melts my heart!
Getting advice from Daddy - so sweet!
Easton, Carter and Will - what cuties!!

6 weeks old...

Hard to believe that Ms. Emmerson turned 6 weeks old last week!  Time is going too fast...just like it did with Carter :(  Emmerson is a really good baby - she is growing like CRAZY!  She definitely has a huge appetite, just like her big brother did when he was her age :)  We did away with the newborn diapers and clothes WEEKS AGO!  She is sleeping well...and starting to enjoy more play time by herself during the day.  She loves the bouncy seat, going for walks, is FULL of smiles, is starting to make lots of noise, trying to coo and talk, and is starting to play in her "gym" more and more.  We are loving our time with her!
I know it looks like he may be trying to choke her - but he was trying to hold her and be sweet.  I promise!  ;)

This is the day she was 1 month old!

Meeting her Great Grandma during a visit from our family in Houston!
Sitting and "chatting" with Gigi during their visit!

Carter tries to show her how to "play" in her gym - so sweet!
Wearing shoes!  Oh my gosh...so cute!
Sweet cuddle / sleepy time in the morning :)

The last few weeks...

In the last few weeks, things have been super busy! We celebrated my 33rd birthday a week after Emmerson was born. It was such a nice day...just the 4 of us...we picked up lunch from my favorite sandwich place, Texadelphia. And then went and got some DELICIOUS cupcakes from another favorite place, Sprinkles! YUM!!! Tim gave me the sweetest card from he & the kids...and the best gift EVER! A Mother's ring! I have been wanting something like this for so long...and he totally surprised me!! We finished out the night making our own homemade pizza for dinner (one of Carter's favorite things to do). Tim did SOOOOO much to make the day super special for me - what a guy!! I am blessed!!

We also celebrated Easter last weekend. Not our typical church service / brunch, etc. Just another quality day at home, the 4 of us - and a couple of cute Easter baskets! Carter's new favorite thing has to be his Pez dispenser...too cute!!

Other than that, just spending time together, and with sweet friends and family who come by to visit :) Carter is so in love with Emmerson. I never pictured him being so gentle, so sweet, so loving and so concerned about her. It just melts my heart!! And she is doing great. Had her 2 week checkup this week...she already weighs 8 pounds, 12 inches and is 20.75 inches long - our big girl!

LOVE Sprinkles!
Homemade pizza!
He is always stealing bites of pepperoni & cheese as we go!
Had to include this picture...he is watching Toy Story.  You can see he has Woody with him - well he decided he needed to wear a cowboy hat too!  Too cute :)
Sweet big brother...
Daddy's Princess for sure!
Sweet kisses :)
Silly faces.  Love how she is just staring at him :)
Daddy found some really cool tablets you put in the bath to change the color of the water - so fun!
Mother's ring...The purple stone is amethyst, to represent Carter.  And on either side is an aquamarine stone to represent Emmerson (and it's my birthstone too).  So pretty...
Loving on her little monkey blanket!
Easter baskets!
Sweet girl on her first Easter :)

Our future Texas Ranger!

Sweet girl...
LOVE when she sucks her thumb!!

Aren't these letters beautiful?!  One of Carter's old teachers, Taylor, made these for us for Emmerson's room.  GORGEOUS!
She made Carter some as well - love them!!
